Today we're excited to announce that Fulcrum has acquired Megaphone and welcomed their team to Fulcrum.
Albert Hu is joining as our Founding Product Manager and Catherine Chang as our Founding Product Designer. They bring deep experience building and scaling products, most recently at Megaphone, a crypto marketing platform they co-founded that grew to over five million users and powered campaigns for brands like Coinbase and Forbes.
Sambhav and I have been building Fulcrum for the past few years with a simple but hard conviction: insurance brokerages deserve better technology. The workflows that their account managers deal with every day, from proposals, to policy checking and certificates of insurance, are some of the most complex and time-consuming, yet high-stakes in any industry. We chose to go deep where others went broad, and our customers have rewarded that focus with their trust.
As we scale, the bar for product and design excellence has to rise with us. Insurance brokerages are sophisticated operations. The people who use our platform are experts in their field, and our product needs to reflect that same level of rigor and craft. That's why bringing on a dedicated product and design team with a high bar for user taste is so important to us right now.
What struck us about Albert and Catherine was how seriously they have approached the problem. During our early conversations, Albert didn't just ask about the industry and the product, he talked to our customers, studied our workflows, and came back with questions that showed a depth of understanding we rarely see. Catherine brought a sharp eye for how design can simplify complex systems and empower users without losing the nuance that makes them work. We’re extremely excited to have them onboard.
So with that: Welcome, Megaphone team. Together we’re going to push the boundaries of what’s possible in insurance.
